Byrin Romney is an attorney in our firm with a rapidly-developing practice. He practices in civil litigation, and most of his current work involves various business and real estate matters. Byrin grew up working with and for his entrepreneurial father, so he understands how businesses work, and what is important to business owners.
Understanding that the law often animates how businesses and communities operate, Byrin entered the legal industry to help clients find innovative solutions to their problems. He enjoys handling matters that go beyond the ordinary and that provide clients with a sense of security and resolution. In law school, and through the associated MBA school, he earned a Business Law Certificate and built the skills necessary to understand business and real estate issues of all kinds. In addition, he studied water law and completed his writing requirements by advising on various California water law issues.
In his final year of law school, Byrin also focused his studies on data privacy, e-commerce, and internet content regulation in the US and abroad. He completed a legal externship in London with the British Board of Film Classification. In conjunction, he authored a law review article for the Vermont Law Review. Today, he consults various nonprofit organizations interested in online child protection.
Out of the office, Byrin unwinds by running, cycling, swimming, playing volleyball, and wake surfing. He especially enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter.
