Rebuilding Together Oakland Honors Wendel Rosen With Champion Award

Wendel Rosen LLP, the largest law firm in the East Bay representing businesses throughout the Bay Area and the state, was honored by Rebuilding Together Oakland | East Bay (RTO) with its 2019 Champion Award, presented at the fifth annual Gather Together celebration on October 3.

The Champion Award celebrates 15 years of partnership between RTO and Wendel Rosen. During that period, the law firm has supported the organization and the greater Oakland community it serves with more than $150,000 in funds, hundreds of volunteers7,500 volunteer hours – all dedicated to community health and revitalization through the RTO programs. With a history of leadership in the organization, Partners Les Hausrath and Mark Epstein currently serve on the RTO Board of Directors.

For more than 20 years, RTO has built community partnerships to rejuvenate neighborhoods through the rehabilitation of homes owned by low-income homeowners and non-profit facilities that serve low-income communities. RTO is an affiliate of Rebuilding Together, Inc., the nation’s leading non-profit working to preserve affordable homeownership and revitalize communities and is part of a network of more than 200 affiliates providing critical home repairs to low-income homeowners at no cost to them. This year, RTO saw more than 2,000 volunteers complete more than 40 critical home repair and community improvement projects in the area.
