Patrick F. Keery

Patrick F. Keery is a Phoenix business attorney and director at Fennemore who advises businesses, owners, and entrepreneurs on financial challenges, business transactions and complex commercial disputes. His practice focuses on bankruptcy representation and litigation, debt workouts, mergers and acquisitions, business structuring, financially based litigation and business tort litigation.

Patrick helps clients evaluate practical legal and business strategies when financial pressure, disputed obligations or a pending transaction may affect the future of an enterprise. He represents debtors in Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings, handles bankruptcy-related litigation and assists with debt workouts and other efforts to resolve financial distress. He also advises businesses on mergers and acquisitions, business transactions and entity structuring, with a focus on aligning legal strategies with broader business objectives.

When disputes arise, Patrick brings a pragmatic approach to negotiation, settlement and litigation. His experience as a business owner and litigant gives him a firsthand understanding of the financial costs, operational disruption and uncertainty that protracted litigation can create. He uses that perspective to help clients assess risk, pursue efficient resolutions and protect their business interests when litigation is necessary.

Before joining Fennemore, Patrick served as an attorney and shareholder at Keery McCue, PLLC, where he represented clients in business, bankruptcy and litigation matters. His prior business experience includes leadership roles in construction management, automotive products, vehicle sales and motorcycle manufacturing. Patrick earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from Phoenix School of Law and his B.S. in finance from Arizona State University. He graduated sixth in a class of 171 J.D. candidates, served as a staff editor of the Phoenix Law Review and received the Order of the Quill and multiple CALI Awards.
