Well-behaved women seldom make history.

SHANNON COHAN
Shannon Cohan is a business litigation attorney who guides clients through every stage of the litigation process—whether they are bringing a claim or defending against one. She represents clients across a broad range of industries, from individuals and sole proprietorships to Fortune 500 companies. She approaches each matter with a practical focus on problem-solving and achieving her client’s goals, and works to identify the most cost-effective and efficient solution, whether that is through negotiation, mediation, or litigation. If a negotiated solution is not possible, Shannon has substantial trial experience and a track record of winning even the most challenging cases. Shannon’s thoughtful and focused approach allows her to strategize the best path forward while safeguarding and promoting her clients’ interests.
Shannon has been interested in the law since she was in the third grade, when she was cast as Goldilocks in a mock trial against the three bears. She quickly realized that sitting on the sidelines was not for her, and she wanted to take a more active role in the proceedings. Nearly twenty years later, she went on to earn her J.D. from USC’s Gould School of Law. This intrinsic passion for the law and her client-first approach means that Shannon becomes a trusted advocate for the clients she works with.
Physical fitness is another passion of Shannon’s. As a serious athlete, she has completed three full marathons, four half-marathons, and three trail Ragnars—and she’s training for her next adventure now. She gives back to the community as a volunteer coach for Girls on the Run, an organization that impacts the lives of many girls by instilling joy, health, and confidence by creatively integrating a personal-development curriculum into training to run a 5K. As a member of the sub-board committee Pace Team, Shannon feels that she gets back more than she gives to many of the girls who come from disadvantaged backgrounds, where the chance to run provides meaning and hope.
