Tyler Carlton

Tyler Carlton is an associate who principally practices business litigation and natural resource law. After graduating law school first in his class and obtaining the top score on the Arizona State Bar in 2018, Tyler worked in the federal and state judiciaries—including the Ninth Circuit, the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona, and the Arizona Supreme Court—where he refined his litigation skills and developed long-lasting relationships that he still cherishes. His practice focuses on complex commercial litigation, including appellate matters, dispositive motion practice, discovery disputes, and litigation strategy. His judicial experience gives him particular insight into developing persuasive case theories, navigating complicated factual records, and presenting complex issues clearly to courts in a persuasive way.

Originally from Boston, Tyler came to Arizona for law school, and he considers Phoenix one of the great legal markets in the country given the explosive growth in population and business over the years. While Tyler enjoys the strategy and competition inherent in litigation, he always looks to use his litigation skills as simply a means to obtaining the best result for his clients. In most cases, there is almost always a business resolution that saves time and money.

Away from work, Tyler enjoys spending time with his wife, Madison, his daughter, Gemma, and their dogs Oreo (a Chihuahua) and Cocoa (a mini schnauzer). In his free time, you’ll probably find Tyler golfing, hiking, and traveling.
