Lisa Matheny

Lisa Matheny is a paralegal at Fennemore Wendel where her work covers a multitude of areas, including UCC financing statements, lien searches, closings, consents, certificates & disclosure schedules, agreements, corporate resolutions & amendments and keeping annual minutes.

She also has experience with entity formations & dissolution documents, stock certificates/journals/ledgers/powers, fictitious business names, state & Federal Security filings, project management, real estate lease reviews and summaries, deeds & PCORs, EDGAR Access Codes, OASIS filings, database management, receivership work, correspondence and calendar management for our attorneys.

Lisa began working at Fennemore Wendel 39 years ago fresh out of high school as a Legal Secretary for David Wendel. After 15 years, she was offered a real estate paralegal position, specializing in managing a long-time client with several hundred jewelry stores across the United States, while simultaneously getting her Paralegal certification at University of Santa Cruz Extension. She has also managed war rooms, exhibits and schedules for two large litigation cases. She started in her current position as a corporate paralegal in 2015, and she has really enjoyed her work.  Lisa has done many miscellaneous jobs throughout her career, learning as it was needed.

Although she enjoys many aspects of her corporate paralegal work, Lisa loves forming new entities for our clients and stock administration–the more shareholders, the better. She also enjoys giving our attorneys superior customer service.

Outside of work, you’ll probably find Lisa enjoying reading, painting, Yoga, spending time with family and friends – or just enjoying some rest and relaxation with an intriguing movie or TV show.
