The New Form of Business: The Benefit Corporation

Wendel Rosen business attorney William Acevedo co-presented a webinar, “Benefit Corporations: Model Legislation, Policy Considerations, and Distinctions of Certified B Corp Status,” on May 21, 2014 that discussed the legal frameworks and varying state requirements relevant to helping clients incorporate as a benefit corporation.

Over 20 states have passed legislation promoting the growth of benefit corporations.  These laws enable businesses to integrate for-profit goals and a commitment to providing social or environmental benefits.
