Wendel Rosen Expands with Addition of William “Buddy” Rowell as a Partner

Wendel, Rosen, Black & Dean LLP, the largest law firm in the East Bay representing businesses throughout the Bay Area and state, adds litigator William “Buddy” Rowell as a partner in the firm’s Litigation Practice Group.

“Buddy is a multi-faceted litigator, and he has an outstanding track record in the East Bay for resolving the kind of thorny business issues that distract from getting business done. He is a great complement to our real estate, land use, environmental and construction practices, and we anticipate our clients will benefit from his rich experiences with some of the region’s largest public entities and leading corporations,” said Managing Partner Dan Rapaport.

Rowell has nearly 25 years of litigation experience, representing both public entities, including several of the region’s school districts and utilities, and businesses, including major retailers and property owners and developers. He has tackled issues such as toxic torts, real estate and partnership disputes, premises and product liability, and construction defects, among many others. Rowell joins the firm from Buty & Curliano LLP in Oakland. He is a member of the Public Agency Risk Management Association (PARMA) and the Claims & Litigation Management Alliance.

Rowell received his J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of San Francisco, School of Law (1995)where he was a member of the McAuliffe Honor Society. He earned his B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley (1990).
