Wendel Rosen Renews Its Lease and Expands 2,000 Square Feet
Wendel, Rosen, Black & Dean LLP Expands to ±56,300 SF on Top Floors of Class A Tower in Downtown Oakland, CA
Wendel, Rosen, Black & Dean LLP has renewed its lease at 1111 Broadway in downtown Oakland, CA, giving the law firm occupancy of the entire top two floors of the 24-story, Class A office tower, along with a portion of its previous space on the 19th floor, for a combined premises totaling 56,271 square feet. The new deal represents a net expansion for the firm of approximately 2,000 square feet in the building. Wendel Rosen, a long-standing tenant at 1111 Broadway since the mid-1990s, has been part of the Oakland community for more than 100 years. John Dolby with Cushman & Wakefield and Edward Del Beccaro of Transwestern represented Wendel Rosen. Ryan Hattersley and Daniel Bisabri with Cushman & Wakefield represented the landlord in the transaction.

The building, which was completed in 1990, is LEED® Gold certified and includes a number of environmentally friendly features, including energy-efficient lighting, low-flow fixtures and irrigation control for water savings, photo sensor controls on exterior lighting, green cleaning products, recycling and composting programs, and energy management systems, among others. The building participates in the U.S. Green Building Council and BOMA’s 7 Point Challenge, and is an EPA Energy Star Partner. In 2011, the property received the BOMA Earth Award.
