Firm Boosts Business Offerings with Addition of Experienced, Growth-Focused Corporate Lawyer

Wendel Rosen LLP, the largest law firm in the East Bay representing businesses throughout the state, has added Laurie A. Sanders as a partner in the firm’s Business Group.

Taking an entrepreneurial approach to her own practice, Sanders acts as outside general counsel to domestic and international businesses.  She advises on mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructurings, venture capital financings, private equity transactions, succession planning, and corporate governance.  She also works on complex licensing transactions, joint ventures and other types of commercial contracts.  Her clients include entrepreneurs, investors, emerging growth and middle-market companies. She has handled matters in various industries including technology, professional services, manufacturing and wholesale and retail distribution. Sanders joins the firm from San Francisco’s Osborn McDerby LLP.

Sanders is a member of the California, Pennsylvania, and Washington D.C. bars.  In addition, to complement her cross-border practice, she is a member of IR Global, the largest international service network. . Sanders has served as a mentor with U.C. Hastings’ Startup Legal Garage, a program in which law students provide legal work for early stage Tech and BioTech startups under the supervision of practicing attorneys. She has been a frequent speaker and panel moderator for groups including Continuing Education of the Bar, Financial Executives International, the Association for Corporate Growth, Women in Consulting, and the Alameda County Bar Association. Sanders earned her J.D. from Duke University School of Law (1994), where she served as Executive Editor of the Duke Journal of Comparative & International Law. She received her B.A. from University of California, Berkeley (1988).
