AMY L. JONES

Amy Jones is a senior associate in the firm’s Denver office and a member of the Business Litigation practice group. She represents businesses and individuals in high-stakes commercial disputes, including complex contract claims, business torts, and ownership conflicts. Amy approaches each matter with a strategic, research-driven mindset, developing clear, persuasive arguments designed to position cases for success through dispositive motion practice or at trial. Amy has served on both jury and bench trial teams, gaining valuable experience in arguing dispositive motions, taking and defending depositions, and resolving discovery disputes. Amy is also known for her skilled examination of witnesses, command of the courtroom, and ability to distill complicated factual issues into clear, compelling narrative.

In addition to her Colorado practice, Amy is a licensed solicitor in England and Wales, bringing an international perspective and cross-border insight to her work. Her dual qualification enhances her ability to analyze complex legal frameworks and advise clients operating in global markets.

Amy earned her J.D. from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, graduating in the top ten percent of her class. She served as Articles Editor for the Denver Law Review and as an editor for the Denver Journal of International Law and Policy. During law school, she externed for federal judges in the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas. She also clerked with the Consumer Protection Unit at the Colorado Attorney General’s Office, where she contributed to Colorado’s landmark litigation against Juul.

Originally from London, Amy holds a dual Master of Arts in International Relations and Modern History from the University of St. Andrews, where her dissertation examined the principle of legality in international criminal law. Before pursuing her legal career in the United States, she became a nationally certified ski instructor and developed a lifelong connection to Colorado.

Outside the office, Amy is an avid international ski traveler and enjoys downhill and cross-country skiing, as well as hiking and running at high elevation.
