Countdown to California Cannabis Licensing

Following the recent consolidation of California’s medical and recreational cannabis laws, agencies crafting state regulations are operating under “emergency rulemaking” to make a Jan. 2, 2018 deadline to issue licenses and allow sales in the world’s largest marijuana market.

A leading architect of the State’s cannabis regulations is California Assemblymember Rob Bonta, who represents Oakland, Alameda, and San Leandro. Bonta has co-sponsored several bills, among them AB 266, one of three measures known collectively as the Medical Marijuana Regulation and Safety Act (MMRSA). There is likely no other state legislator more knowledgeable or engaged in the legislative process that will shape the California cannabis industry.

Wendel Rosen invites you to join us for a conversation with Assemblymember Bonta, moderated by Robert Selna. He’ll provide timely information and answer questions about California’s governing cannabis law and emerging details on the regulations expected to kick in January 2018.
