Partner Kevin Rodriguez Named Chair of Wendel Rosen’s Trust and Estate Litigation Practice Group

OAKLAND, Calif., Oct. 31, 2017 – Wendel, Rosen, Black & Dean LLP, the largest law firm in the East Bay representing businesses and individuals throughout the Bay Area and state, has appointed Partner Kevin Rodriguez chair of the firm’s Trust and Estate Litigation Practice Group.

Wendel Rosen’s Trust and Estate Litigation Practice Group provides comprehensive litigation and counseling services on a variety of trust- and estate-related disputes, from pre-litigation investigation and strategic planning to mediation, arbitration, trial and appeal. The firm’s litigators leverage their deep knowledge of trust and estate law, as well as their procedural and tactical litigation skills, to guide clients through these complex, and often emotional, matters. The firm regularly handles all types of trust- and estate-related litigations, including trust and will contests, breach of fiduciary duty actions, financial elder abuse actions, contested conservatorships and trust and estate related tax and accounting disputes.

Rodriguez represents fiduciaries, beneficiaries and nonprofit organizations in all aspects of contested trust, estate, conservatorship and elder abuse cases. He also assists clients in pre-litigation avoidance and settlement efforts. While Rodriguez now focuses his practice almost exclusively on trust and estate related litigation, he also has extensive experience in estate planning, trust and probate administration, and estate and gift tax planning. Rodriguez is a board member of the East Bay Trusts and Estates Lawyers Association and is a member of the East Bay Estate Planning Council. He is also a member of the San Francisco and Alameda County bar associations.

Rodriguez earned his L.L.M. in taxation from Golden Gate University (2009) and his J.D. (2005) and his B.S.C. (2000) from Santa Clara University.
