Three Wendel Rosen Attorneys Named to SF Business Times List of Most Influential Women in 2016

OAKLAND, Calif., June 23, 2016 – Wendel, Rosen, Black & Dean LLP congratulates Partners Christine Noma and Patricia Curtin on their selection to the San Francisco Business Times’ 2016 “Most Influential Women in Business” list and Partner Pamela Schock Mintzer on her selection to the “Forever Influential Honor Roll.” The list recognizes outstanding female professionals who make a difference in their companies, industries and communities. The honor roll recognizes prior winners of the Influential Women awards and an expanding group of exceptional women leaders. Noma and Curtin were profiled in a special supplement to the publication and honored at a dinner and awards ceremony on June 16. Curtin was selected to the Influential Women list in 2015, as was Mintzer in 2013.

Noma’s practice focuses on environmental and employment matters. She represents clients in environmental litigation involving cost recovery claims, CERCLA, Clean Water Act, strict liability, negligence and nuisance causes of action and real estate toxic tort cases. In the employment area, Chris has represented numerous employers defending wrongful termination and employment discrimination cases in all areas, including sex, age, race, disability discrimination and sexual harassment. She has also represented employer clients in administration hearings. She has also advised businesses regarding personnel practices and the preparation of employment manuals and supervisor training. Noma is the president of the Asian American Bar Association Law Foundation, co-chair of the Peralta Community College District Language Court Interpreter Advisory Committee, and serves on the Executive Board of the Environmental Law Section of the Alameda County Bar Association. She received her J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of Law (1982) and her B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley (1979).

Curtin is a member of Wendel Rosen’s Management Committee. Her practice focuses on land use and local government law, representing both private and public sector clients. She works with landowners and developers of commercial, industrial, residential and agricultural property, including wine growers, wineries and related businesses; shopping center owners; hotel/resort owners; educational institutions; and hospitals and other medical facilities. Active within her industry and the community, Curtin serves as Planning Commissioner for the City of Lafayette and is a board member of HomeAid Northern California. She holds her J.D. from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law (1987) and her B.A. from California State University, Chico (1984).

Mintzer focuses her practice on eminent domain, land use and real estate litigation. She represents property owners, communities and projects to resolve the issues that occur at the intersections between funding, design, acquisition, and construction. Mintzer, who is also a member of Wendel Rosen’s Management Committee, serves on the Board of Trustees, is Chair of the Planning Committee for the East Bay Zoological Society, and is a current member of the Hastings Leadership Academy for Women. She is also a member of the Alameda County Bar Association. Mintzer earned her J.D. from Brigham Young University, J. Reuben Clark School of Law (1994) and her B.A. from Mills College (1987).
