Wendel Rosen Partner Chuck Hansen will co-present this discussion and debate of title insurance subjects, including but not limited to:

  • patterns in the types and theories of claims being made,
  • title insurance and mortgage insurance untangled,
  • post-policy coverage issues,
  • title insurance/escrow interface and theories of liability,
  • specialized title products,
  • whether abstracting is coming back,
  • making an effective tender,
  • the genuine dispute doctrine,
  • how not to get Kwok’d, and
  • title insurance related to foreclosures.

About Chuck Hansen

For more than three decades, Chuck’s name has been synonymous with real estate law in California.  He has been involved in a host of high-profile transactions, from the Kaiser Center in Oakland to the Grant Hotel in San Diego. Since 1985, he has taught advanced real estate courses to law and MBA students at the University of California’s Boalt Hall.  He has also been a prolific writer and speaker on legal issues.  Chuck frequently serves as a mediator, arbitrator and judge pro tem.
